by building a statewide support system for Teacher and Counselor Residency preparation programs
The Statewide Residency Technical Assistance Center (SRTAC) represents a partnership among five County Offices of Education (COE), The Residency Lab, WestEd, and UCLA Teacher Education Program. Its primary goal is to provide targeted, developmentally appropriate technical assistance and comprehensive support to residency programs, catering to both Teacher and Counselor residencies across California. SRTAC grant was awarded by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) to this consortium.

Residencies refer to educator training programs in which prospective candidates dedicate a full year working closely with an experienced mentor as they prepare for their chosen career path.
The SRTAC will serve as a pivotal resource, providing expert advice and support to program leaders within local education agencies (LEAs) throughout California.
