Offerings are strategically planned on different dates in order for participants to access more than one.
All participants are highly encouraged to attend with their LEA/IHE Residency team members.
All sessions will provide the following:
Accessible content offered for FREE virtually
Curated resources and tools to support program implementation
Practices focused on the 10 Characteristics of Effective Residency

“CoRPs” are topical and centered on specific residency program implementation practices and program sustainability. Consistent attendance is expected to acquire these distinct supports:
CoRPs rely on relationship-building, trust, and shared learning, which develop over time.
Each member's presence contributes to collective knowledge-building and professional growth.
Year-long participation supports a sense of belonging and commitment to the community’s shared goals.
Professional learning builds from one session to the next with a commitment from participants to attend all sessions
Summary
Contribute your insights to this CoRP to discuss mentor teacher support and structures, to include aligning preservice and induction mentorship for a coherent 3-year residency support model that is both organizationally and financially sustainable. Bring your ideas, big or small!
Summary
Effective and collaborative IHE and LEA partnership is the key for sustainable residency programming and is the focus of this CoRP. Collaborate and innovate with fellow university faculty to help shape the future of educator preparation that ensures organizational and financial sustainability.
“Networks” bring together a specific group of people working and learning together in a new effort and toward a common goal. This years’ Networks are for Rural Residencies and School Counselor Residencies.
Network with peers who are working on the same goal as you
Focused on Rural Residencies and School Counselor Residency Programs to leverage each other's expertise
Summary
Exchange ideas, resources, and best practices with colleagues statewide who are implementing residency programs in geographically isolated areas. Participants will share knowledge and solve common challenges that contribute to improved student outcomes in rural contexts.
Summary
This is a collaborative platform for SCR Capacity & Implementation grantees to share their program models and current implementation progress. Through discussions grounded in the new SCR characteristics, participants will exchange insights, highlight best practices, and collectively identify gaps and opportunities to enhance access to resources and support.
Similar to Networks, Power Ups bring together a group of people to work through a particular topic, but the topic may be more precise and the offering more structured. This year's Power Up will allow you to:
Network with peers who are working on the same goal as you
Design actionable steps to take back to residency partners for refinement and implementation
Summary
Utilizing the SRTAC white paper and other models in practice, these Power Ups will highlight ways LEA’s and IHE’s can work together to leverage local funding to sustain residency programs. Participants will leave with actionable steps to support a context specific sustainability model.
“Deep Dive” events offer educator preparation leaders focused, in-depth professional learning. This three-part virtual series is organized around the theme—Special Education and Inclusion in Educator Preparation Spaces. Each session explores a specific topic within the theme, serving as a practical “how-to” led by expert practitioners and researchers who unpack root causes and share actionable strategies. While each event stands alone, the series builds cumulative learning across sessions to support professional growth and system-level impact.
Summary
This year’s series will explore how educator residencies (both special education and general education) can be designed to prepare teachers to effectively support all learners, including students with disabilities. Grounded in the 10 Characteristics of Effective Residencies, this series will offer practical strategies, tools, and examples to guide inclusive program design and implementation.
